The Gallery Folders feature can be found on your Gallery page and allows you to organize your deviations based on the criteria or your choice. For those who are Core Members you will also have the option to create Subfolders of your Gallery Folders.
Creating Gallery Folders
To create folders in your Gallery you will first need to visit your gallery. Once there you can either select the "New Folder" button located at the bottom of the sidebar to the left of your gallery page. Once the New Folder button is clicked a new folder will appear and you will automatically be placed in to name mode for that folder. You can simply type the name of the folder, or leave it as the default and then press 'enter' on your keyboard. If you have a Core Membership you can now create Subfolders. To do this, you must open the folder, and then follow the same instructions as creating a regular folder. Please note that you may only create a maximum of 160 folders this includes Subfolders.
Once you have created a Gallery Folder you can begin adding your art to it.To do this you will need to enter edit mode for your gallery by selecting the "Edit Page" button near the top right of the page. An "Edit Your Gallery" banner will then appear near the top of the page and you can simply hover over the deviation thumbnail you wish to move and click the edit pencil icon that appears. After you have clicked on this button you will be presented with options to move or copy deviations around between folders. Once you've selected to move or copy a list of all your available folders will appear and you can click one and your deviation will automatically be moved or copied to that folder. Please note that if moving to a Sub Folder please make sure to click the arrow to reach the Sub Folder directly within this menu. You can if you desire have deviations featured in multiple folders.
"Move to..." will take that thumbnail and move it to that folder, removing it from the featured gallery. "Copy to..." will make a copy of that thumb and place it in the folder, leaving the original in your featured folder.
In order to move multiple thumbnails at once you can click on the empty space next to a thumbnail, hold your left mouse button down, and drag a selection over multiple thumbnails. Likewise, you can ctrl + Click (or command + Click on a Mac) to select or deselect multiple thumbnails individually. Once you have the deviations you wish selected you can click the edit pencil icon on (any)one of the selected thumbs to copy/move those deviations to a folder. Once you have finished editing you can click the blue "Done" button near the top of the page to set the changes.
