Comment 4 Points Feature

As it stands the deviantArt community has a nice set of features I'd like to combine. The points for llamas feature as well as the critique feature. Now I don't mean points for critiques because then we end up with lazily done things like this.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'd like to have a points for comments feature that can be judged by a deviantArt administrator. The don't even have to be a member of the deviantArt staff. It could be managed by volunteers. This way deviants could offer points for meaningful comments and if the comment is deemed to be lengthy, meaningful, and provide constructive criticisms or praise that deviant would receive points that the original artist agreed to pay them. You see you can offer anywhere from one to a few hundred points for a llama so why can't we do the same thing for meaningful comments?

This way we can bring deviantArt back into being an artistic community that encourages deep and meaningful thoughts being shared.

It encourages more people to purchase points on deviantArt thus stimulating the artificial economy we have going on here and funding the deviantArt community.

It would be a feature anyone could use with the exception of blocked, suspended, or banned deviants.

I don't know how well this would work but it sounds neat.

What do you mean? This feature wouldn't be used to encourage abusive comments.

According to world.deviantart.com at the time of my writing this reply, there are 8 comments posted every second. What you want just isn't humanly possible.

If you want to offer points for feedback you consider meaningful, you're free to do it yourself, instead of delegating this assessment to any third party. Why would you even let someone else make that decision for you, in the first place?

I want you to know how difficult it is for me to take you seriously when you don't understand what the Hell I'm talking about. I'll ask that you pardon me if I imply I think less of you. This isn't like a feature that would apply to every comment in existence. It would be handled by third party volunteers, yes, but you are accounting for all comments rather than the ones that are paid to actually put thought into it. It's a feature they'd have to look into commenting for like the critique feature does and of course there would be a limit to how many just like the llama feature has now. It takes time to post a comment. you'd have done better to use the llama per second considering that is what this idea is based on.

It takes less than a second for me to to identify a well written comment from one that came from an uneducated twat. Nor is it a feature you could exploit over and over again because such a feature would have the same type of limitation as it's llama counterpart. If I can do it then I don't see why someone with the free time and willingness to try couldn't do the same. You obviously couldn't simply due to the fact that you don't appear to understand how it works.

You don't have to worry though, I've already given up on this idea. I can see when people don't understand how something works that they shoot it down. If you are so uneducated that you assume all the comments uploaded would be handled by a single person or that they would have to accept or decline them all at once then such a feature would be wasted on you. It's too much like trying to explain how a flamethrower works to a caveman.

A system like this is determined by first come, first serve basis. After say a budget of 44 points, one per comment with only available to any deviant the first 44 approved would get the points and the rest would be declined for being late.
